Organic Cotton Does Not Prove the Whole Product Claim

- Recyclable depends on both the material and access to an appropriate collection and recycling system.
PLA and other bio-based polymers may need controlled industrial composting conditions. They should not be presented as home-compostable or rapidly degradable unless the exact finished component is certified for that claim.
What Happens After Disposal?
Laboratory or composting results do not necessarily predict behavior in a landfill. Temperature, oxygen, moisture, microbial activity and product construction all affect breakdown. Are Organic or “Biodegradable” Tampons Safer?
No material label makes every tampon universally safer or healthier.
